2019: Jigawa Youths Vow Not To Re-Elect, Buhari, APC

Alhaji Ibrahim Inua Kudai, the leader of the youths in Jigawa State, has disclosed that the youths have vowed not to re-elect the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in 2019 general elections over what he described as breach of trust and empty campaign promises of the party’s leadership.

Addressing a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rally at Limawa Quarters, Dutse, where over 2,130 followers of APC embraced PDP, Kudai stated they were fed up with a party of deceit and empty campaign promises.

“Being one of the front liners in the formation of APC right from the onset, and upon the contributions we have rendered up to this moment, we are yet to benefit in the scheme of things such as employment opportunities, education support, among other others,” he said.

Also speaking, the leader of the defected APC youths to PDP, Malam Umar Galamawa, stated their dumping the ruling party for the PDP was informed by the APC’s betrayal of trust, poor leadership and representation of the elected leaders.

According to independent Ng, Galamawa said that they devoted their time, energy and resources in building the APC with the hope it would usher in progress and development, only to be betrayed by their poor leadership, leaving behind abject poverty, unemployment and insecurity all over the place.

Earlier, Alhaji Salisu Mamuda, the Jigawa State PDP Chairman, commended the efforts of the defectors and assured them of equal treatment, support and encouragement.

He called on the PDP youths within and outside Jigawa State to campaign positively towards the success of the party as well be law abiding citizens and guard against their votes during the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
