Kwarans have been urged to vote candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP across board in the forthcoming general elections.
The PDP House of Representatives candidate for Ilorin South/East, Hon. Wahab Issa and the Chairman of Kwara Local Governemnt Service Commission, Hajia Sarat Ibrahim Adebayo stated this on Tuesday when they visited Akerebiata in Ilorin East local government area of the State.
During the visit, the duo interacted with residents of the area, members of youth and women groups as well as party members and supporters. They also received scores of decampees into the PDP family.
Hajia Sarat solicited support for the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Kwara PDP governorship candidate, Hon. Razak Atunwa, Hon. Wahab Isa and all candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections.
She also encouraged Kwaran youths not to play the violence card of the opposition and not allow themselves to be used as instruments of destruction of the values and heritage of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara in general.
Speaking further, Hajia Sarat asked Nigerians to end the hunger and poverty created by the All Progressives Congress, APC-led government by voting out President Muhammadu Buhari in the 16 February presidential election.
She said if elected, Atiku would revive the economy and provide jobs and opportunities for the teeming unemployed people in the country.
