Rivers State is a Christian state, Wike says at Great Gospel Crusade Opens at Port Harcourt, Thousands of Christian worshippers on Thursday gathered at the NLNG Sandfill in Port Harcourt for the opening night of Great Gospel Crusade of the Christ for All Nations (CFAN).
The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike and top government officials were among the congregation, according to Wike’s special assistant on electronic media, Simeon Nwakandu, noted that according to the welcome address, by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike reiterated that Rivers State is a Christian State that has been committed to God.
Wike also expressed happiness that God used him to reclaim the land where the crusade was held. He noted that the NLNG sandfill use to be a den of robbers, now turned into a place for God’s blessing.
The President of CFAN, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda said that power of the Holy Spirit will manifest all through the crusade.
He said that this is the appointed time for God to bless the people of Port Harcourt. He urged the people to place their hope in Jesus Christ who has paid the price for the redemption of their souls.
Evangelist Daniel Kolenda later led hundreds of people to God and there were several testimonies of sick persons who received their healing from God.
